秀色直播niv Celebrated Fall Graduates at the 2025 Graduation Ceremony in Saskatoon

Saskatoon, SK 鈥 The First Nations University of Canada (秀色直播niv) celebrated its Fall 2025 graduating class on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at a ceremony held at Prairieland in Saskatoon. The event honoured learners from undergraduate, diploma, certificate, and master鈥檚-level programs across all 秀色直播niv 秀色直播es, recognizing their academic accomplishments, cultural pride, and commitment to community.

秀色直播niv conferred 112 credentials during the Fall 2025 ceremony, acknowledging the hard work, perseverance, and dedication of students from across the province and beyond.

秀色直播niv graduates received their embossed leather scroll, a signature symbol representing perseverance, learning, and Indigenous excellence.

鈥淥ur graduates carry forward the teachings, strength, lived experiences, and leadership that our communities and nations deeply value,鈥 said Dr. Jacqueline Ottmann, President of the First Nations University of Canada. 鈥淭oday, we honour not only our graduates鈥 academic achievements, but also the cultural knowledge, and the sense of purpose and conviction that they carry with them as they step daringly into their future.鈥

The ceremony featured cultural and academic components including Grand Entry, Opening Prayer, Welcome Address and Greetings, Acknowledgement of Degrees, Valedictorian and Alumni Addresses, Honour Song, Thank You Prayer, and the Retiring of the Eagle Staff, Flags, Platform Party, and Students, followed by a community reception.

Valedictorian Alvina Eliza Marie Merasty (Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work) reflected on the strength and resilience of Indigenous learners. Alumni Speaker Jennifer Ahenakew (Bachelor of Human Justice) encouraged graduates to carry their teachings forward with pride and purpose.

Greetings were shared by Sherry Saevil, Chair of the 秀色直播niv Board of Governors, and FSIN Third Vice Chief Fabian Head, honouring the graduates鈥 accomplishments and emphasizing the importance of Indigenous-led education. Dr. Carrie LaVallie, Interim Vice President, Academic, formally acknowledged all degrees, diplomas, and certificates awarded during the fall term.

秀色直播niv recognized the Fall 2025 graduates as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting Indigenous learners, advancing language and cultural revitalization, and nurturing leaders who strengthen communities across Saskatchewan and beyond.
